Kul Devata-Kul Devi Initiation

A person is first identified by his clan. Just as every person has a name, a gotra, so is a clan. ‘Kul’ means the family or its lineage tradition, to which it belongs, that line has been going on for thousands and lakhs of years, but today the common man does not know the name of more than three-four generations of his clan.

Whose grace brings peace and prosperity to the family. Kul Devi – Kul Devta protects the whole family, removes the coming troubles. That is why in all the worships there is a law of worship of the deity-goddess in the yajna (yagya), by doing sadhna of Kul Devta – Kul Devi, the Pitra Dosh in the family is also removed.

Kul Devta means – By whose grace there is an increase in the clan, that family has always got a fearless umbrella.

कुल देवता–कुल देवी दीक्षा

व्यक्ति की पहचान सर्वप्रथम उसके कुल से होती है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का जिस प्रकार नाम होता है, गोत्र होता है, उसी प्रकार कुल भी होता है। ‘कुल’अर्थात् खानदान या उसकी वंश परम्परा जिस वंश से वह संबंधित होता है, वह वंश तो हजारों-लाखों बषों से चला आ रहा है, लेकिन आज सामान्य व्यक्ति अपने कुल की तीन-चार पीढियों से अधिक नाम नहीं जानता ।

जिनकी कृपा से कुल परिवार में शांति एवं सम्पन्नता आती हैं । कुल देवी-कुल देवता पूरे परिवार की रक्षा करते हैं, आने वाले संकटों को हटा देते है । इसीलिए सारी पूजाओं में यज्ञ में कुल देवता-देवी पूजा का विधान है, कुल देवी-कुल देवता साधना करने से परिवार में पितृ दोष भी दूर हो जाता है ।

कुल देवता का तात्पर्य है – जिस देवता की कृपा से कुल में अभिवृद्धि होती है, उस परिवार को सदैव एक अभय छत्र प्राप्त हुआ हैं ।
