Raseshwar Shiv Sadhna Deeksha

One of the names of Lord Shiva is Raseshwar. In Indian scriptures, the concept of rasa has been compared with Parad. Parad is said to be the semen of Lord Shiva and due to this Rasa, Lord Shiva remains immersed in eternal bliss. Due to this process of being immersed in Rasa, he is also called Raseshwar.*

Rasa means joy, enjoyment, exuberance, enthusiasm, wave. If we look at Lord Shiva, his vehicle Nandi bull and Parvati ji’s vehicle lion – both are enemies of each other. The snake around Lord Shiva’s neck and Shiva’s son Kartikeya’s vehicle peacock – both are enemies of each other. The snake and Shiva’s son Ganesh’s vehicle mouse are also enemies of each other. Now whether the lion attacks the bull, or the snake attacks the mouse or the peacock attacks the snake, Lord Shiva is engrossed in his own bliss, free from any kind of worry. To attain this state of bliss is to add joy to life… and this is possible by the worship of Lord Raseshwar.
