Matangi Mahavidhya Initiation

One of the names of Lord Shiva is Matang and the half body (Ardhanarishvara) form of Matang is Matangi, the movement of nectar in the householder’s life arises only by anang-rati luck. There is a limitless flow of delighted spirits in the mind by Matangi Sadhana. There is a growth in the power of pillar and attraction, that is why Maharishi Vishwamitra has said that householders must worship Matangi Mahavidya constantly. This whole world is the appearance of Shakti. Mahavidya Matangi is the ninth Mahavidya among the ten Mahavidyas. She is also called Uchchisht Chandalini or Mahapishachani. The sense of together these words is that they carry out the act of keeping the world under control by their supremacy.

मातंगी महाविद्या दीक्षा

भगवान शिव का एक नाम मातंग है और मातंग का आधा शरीर (अर्धनारीश्वर) रूप मातंगी है, गृहस्थ जीवन में अमृत की गति अनंग-रति भाग्य से ही उत्पन्न होती है। मातंगी साधना द्वारा मन में प्रसन्नता का असीम प्रवाह होता है। स्तंभ और आकर्षण की शक्ति में वृद्धि होती है, इसीलिए महर्षि विश्वामित्र ने कहा है कि गृहस्थों को मातंगी महाविद्या की नित्य पूजा करनी चाहिए। यह सारा संसार शक्ति का स्वरूप है। महाविद्या मातंगी दस महाविद्याओं में नौवीं महाविद्या है। उन्हें उच्छिष्ट चांडालिनी या महापिशाचनी भी कहा जाता है। इन शब्दों का एक साथ भाव यह है कि वे अपने वर्चस्व से दुनिया को नियंत्रण में रखने की क्रिया को अंजाम देते हैं।
