Ravan, the awesome Tantrik, assistance from Kuber when he wished to make a city of gold, popularly known as Lanka. In truth, Kuber was the genuine proprietor of Lanka & the wonderful city came into presence due to his powers. Kuber was in reality the brother of Ravan who from his early childhood began to revere Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma got delighted by his Sadhana & bestowed him to be the ruler of all the riches of this universe.
